You may be surprised to learn that the first two issues of the Delta Business Journal have reached this small village in England between Oxford and Henley. Congratulations on the successful launch of a journal produced with much style and a high degree of professionalism.

Mississippi and the Delta were made very real for us by friends there. Our visits to the Delta have left us fascinated by the state and by its people, and we have an abiding interest in all that happens there.

We are confident that your new publication will be an asset to the economic and business development of the Delta, and from across the ocean we wish you good luck and further success.

I thoroughly enjoyed your article on the Sturdivant family from Glendora in the August issue. How encouraging it is to read about our Delta success stories. The Journal's pro-business attitude is very refreshing and will surely win you accolades from our business community. Keep up the good work.

Your story on the C & G Railway and its importance to the Delta was excellent. Our farmers depend on this railroad and I would be as bold to say that many don't really know how much they depend on the C & G. Mary Ellen Powell did a great job of reporting what this railway system means to us. Also, your story on the Port of Greenville in the July issue was outstanding as well.

On behalf of everyone at Entergy, I offer our congratulations to you on the Delta Business Journal. The launch of this new business publication is a reflection of the tremendous progress and promise of the Delta area economy.

At Entergy, we have been actively involved helping foster economic growth for 75 years throughout Mississippi, but especially inside our service area in the western half of the state. We look forward to working with you at the Delta Business Journal as a new partner in those efforts.

Informing people in the Delta about important issues which influence business and economic activity is a key ingredient in the future of the region. It is also a challenge I am confident you will meet with great success. I wish you the best of luck in this exciting new venture.

Congratulations on the successful launch of the Delta Business Journal. I read the first edition and found it informative as well as insightful. First impressions are important and your publication impressed a lot of people, including me.

As Commissioner of Agriculture, I know first-hand how important agriculture is to business in Mississippi, especially the Mississippi Delta. Whether you are involved with traditional crops or exciting new industries such as catfish, the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce plays an important role. You and your readers need to know we are always ready to help in any way we can.

Once again, congratulations on this exciting new venture. I am sure that it will be a tremendous success. DBJ
