U.S. Freshwater Prawn & Shrimp Growers Association

I would like to thank the Delta Business Journal for the informative article about the United States Freshwater Prawn & Shrimp Growers Association.  The USFPSGA was founded in the Mississippi Delta with the assistance of extension agents from the Thad Cochran National Aquaculture Center.  The Association's membership presently consists of producers and researchers from 10 states.

Mississippi has become an important player in the U. S. freshwater prawn industry.  It is through the support of Mississippi State University and its development of best management practices that this has been possible.  

Our prawn growers provide a fresh, all-natural, U. S. produced product.  A premium product that is bringing income and new industry to our state.
