The storm clouds gathered over Cleveland on February 25, however the sun was shinning in the conference room at the old Royal Vendors building as the French corporation, Faurecia announced they were opening a manufacturing facility in Cleveland . In the coming months the business will create over 250 jobs.
"We are honored to have Faurecia come to Mississippi , to come to Cleveland , and we look forward to assisting this fine company in their move to Bolivar County , " said Governor Haley Barbour who's administration played a vital role in luring the company to Cleveland... FULL STORY

McMurchy named director of Center
Center will benefit from her leadership
Delta State University and Coahoma Community College name Lois B. McMurchy executive director of the Coahoma County Higher Education Center. The center is a partnership between the two institutions and Coahoma County .
McMurchy lives in Duncan and was formally the Executive Director of the Workforce Development Center in Clarksdale , MS . She has also served as an elementary school principal and teacher at Lee Academy.
McMurchy received her Bachelors of Arts in Education from the University of Mississippi. She received Master of Education degrees in both Elementary Education and Administration from Delta State. FULL STORY |
