Delta Southern Bank in Ruleville receives outstanding rating
Bank works to improve local towns

Delta Southern Bank, a community development financial institution based in Ruleville, Mississippi, was recently awarded an “outstanding” rating on its Community Reinvestment Act Audit by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Very few banks are rated outstanding.

The community development efforts of Delta Southern Bank continue for the communities and areas that it serves. The City of Ruleville wanted to promote its downtown business district and sought funds for a renovation of the streets and parking areas. The Bank felt that this was a good idea and has awarded a grant for this purpose in the amount of $60,000. These funds will be used to create a new street-scape for the citizens of Ruleville and the business community.

The City of Drew wanted to continue its revitalization of the downtown business district and sought additional fnds to renovate a commercial building, add improvements to the farmers’ market, and to replace a roof on another commercial building in hopes that it can be renovated soon and a new business start up in it.

Seeing the need for continuing the revitalization of downtown Drew, Delta Southern Bank has made a third grant of $75,500 to Drew Enterprises, Inc. for these three projects.

We ask that all citizens and businesses help our Bank in this effort.”

Very soon, Delta Southern Bank will also operate branches in Clarksdale, Greenville, Shelby, and Webb, Mississippi.
